You don’t realize how much goes into a month until you sit here—currently at the bottom of South Korea, having just cycled from Seoul down to Busan —and look back on your final few weeks in Laos + a few days up in the Northern Vietnamese Highlands and three dreamy weeks in what is now in my Top Five of All-Time Cities, Hanoi. A lot, is what. A lot went into the past month.
And absolute in a second double issue, from learning about UXOs in Laos to chasing ghosts of a previous relationship in Luang Prabang, a collective recipe of Laos Khao Soi—those pork noodles I was addicted to, and then to the friendly, fantastic and oft-frantic Northern Vietnam, with a gorgeous (well, one of us thinks so) gallery... plus a somewhat unnerving look at Hanoi’s Textures—unnerving thanks to the smooth voice of the Propaganda Princess, Hanoi Hannah.
All that and more, it’s On Going—Issue 04!

As mentioned in the email, it’s about to get expensive, as we’re due to arrive in Japan in 10 days. I’ve been practicing my stealth camping skills and dining at mainly 7-11 while making my way through here in South Korea, so I think we’ll be able to make it, but would ask $9 this month if you can swing it. Life gets a lot cheaper once we head back to Hanoi in the spring, of course, but as mentioned in the last issue, I’m planning on documenting the heck outta Japan to make up for it.
But more than anything, I appreciate you coming along. Something is currently happening—maybe age and the appreciation that comes with it—that’s really making me see the color and beauty in not only this world, but my life that has somehow been chosen to explore it. And lemme tell ya... that's something special.
