Indiana Jones, of course.

Probably how everyone became obsessed with it.

But mine lasted long after it was supposed to - always following me around with this nagging wouldn't-it-be-cool type thoughts.

So I drew it up and started a Patreon.

8 months.

5 countries.

Diving into the history, lore, rumors and batshit conspiracy theories - some of which turned out to be true.

Below is the adventure.

You'll see we skip some episodes, as a lot of this was shot in Israel (this is back in 2022 and even then I hated having to go), and some of the shows were tours in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv - places I have no desire to show or even think about until this genocide finally ends and the people involved have been forced to pay for their crimes.

But no story of the Grail can start anywhere but there, so away we go...

Episode 01—The Arrival

We leave an early Berlin for the Holy Land—a place I said I’d never go back to, but if you’re looking for the Grail, it’s got to start here—and the drama begins even before we start the search, with everything being closed, fake hotels and a $24 kebab. But that’s no way to begin an adventure, so we trek over to the Western Wall, finishing our evening in a good mood + right mind, for the official search begins in the morning!

Episode 02—The Room of The Last Supper

We wake up in the center of Jerusalem and head to Mt. Zion, to the room where it all began, where some 2000+ years ago, Jesus and His disciples broke bread for the first time. But it’s more than just nostalgia we capture, but a clue—a vital clue that might just help us find The Grail ourselves.

Episode 07 - Berlin

As we arrive back in Germany, it’s a walk by Mauerpark—the site of many things, but personally where the pilot episode of Aric’s show on the BBC, “Treasure Hunters” was filmed. And while this might seem off-base and/or self-serving, it’s the series that really started this obsession with looking for artifacts, and documenting them. We also attach (probably illegally) said pilot episode so many years ago.

Episode 08 — The Via Delarosa

And so, we begin the path of the Grail by following the path of Jesus as he is forced to walk the world's now most-famous road. But it's where he stopped and who was present that gives us our first lead in truly finding out who held—and possibly hid—that famous cup.

Episode 09 — Jerusalem Soil and The Bone Church

We start with a handful of dirt in Jerusalem, then fly to the Czech Republic, where the world's creepiest church lies.

Episode 10 — Post Crucifixion

Now we get into the actual path of The Holy Grail—where it was taken after Christ was killed on Calgary—but what was it exactly? The drinking vessel at the Last Supper, the catcher of Jesus’s blood, or both? But it goes beyond that as to how the Grail was snuck out of Jerusalem. Was it taken through secret tunnels (which we visit)? And was Golgotha even where most think it is? We venture outside the city walls to a secondary spot—located right next to a plot of land owned by Joseph or Arimathea. Who might have just been the one to take the Grail to Europe.

Episode 12 — A Tribute to Indiana Jones

It can’t be a Holy Grail series without kissing the ring that is Dr. Jones and his adventures. We first go through what the film got right and wrong, the possible involvement with the Knights Templar, back to Joseph of Arimithea and, of course, the Nazi’s obsession with the Grail (something we’ll devote an entire show to soon). We also check in with two friends—artist Laura Jansen who explains the Whilhelm Scream, and adventurer Jeff Shafer, who takes us on a tour of Petra, Jordan (of Indiana Jones fame). All that plus more IT BELONGS IN A MUSEUM.

Episode 13 - Poland

A possible Grail spot hides out in… Poland? It very well might have — at least for a short time. We grab a few friends and drive from Berlin to just over the border, to an old Knights Templar church—one that is linked to a secret river that runs underneath, one rumored to have transported Templar gold. Dum-dum-DUM.

Episode 15 - Portugal

Coming to you from Istanbul, but it’s a show about our recent trip down to Portugal—Sintra, to be exact—to tour what can only be described as a theme part dedicated to the occult. But it’s to the back of the property we head, to what is (and will probably always be), the creepiest thing we visit in this entire series…. The Knights Templar “Initiation Well”.

Episode 16 - Hitler’s Obsession with the Grail: Part One

In July of 1935, Adolf and his buddies formed a secret group called the “Ahnenerbe”, aka “inheritance of the forefathers”, who traveled the world looking for the Arma Cristi (we’ll get into that), a collection of Biblical relics and artifacts — said to bring supernatural powers once they were all combined. It’s all insane. But it’s all true. And it’s yet another clue in our quest.

Episode 17 - Hitler’s Obsession with the Grail: Part Two

Recorded in Kathmandu days before an attempt at making it to Everest Base Camp. But what does Nepal have to do with the Holy Grail? A whole lot. But we start again in Berlin with a visit to Bookburning Square for a story you know, repeated because it’s important to the story.

Episode 18 — Hitler's Obsession With The Grail: Part Three

We come to you from Nepal, but bounce around time and space with this one—Atlantis, Plato, Tibet, and more—in the final show dealing with der führer’s  obsession with the Grail. To say this show is top-tier insane is almost an understatement, but no show about the Cup of Christ would be complete without learning about the biggest search ever undertook.

Episode 19 — Rosslyn Chapel

Made famous both by the controversial novel “Holy Blood, Holy Grail” and, perhaps more famous, by the film “The DaVinci Code”, we travel to Scotland—to what is one of two true possibilities of either housing, or having-housed, the Grail in question.

Episode 20 — Valencia

Second-to-last episode and we end with what is probably THE actual Holy Grail, by traveling to Valencia, Spain, coming face to face with it.

Episode 21 — A Recap

8 months. 5 countries. Looking for the Holy Grail. Many, many words of thanks and a look back at some of the highlights of being able to play a real life Indiana Jones.

(End.)
