Jan - Oklahoma

Home for the holidays and treated to some snow, turning Mum and Dad's backyard into a Norman Rockwell.

Feb - Oklahoma + Nepal

We trade the hills of Oklahoma for the Himalayas—attempting to make it back to Everest Base Camp for a second summit, this time with a group of folks.

Mar - Nepal + India + Japan

After a successful trip (back) to Everest Base Camp, we then travel to India (despite always vowing never to return), and finally to the bicycle, eagerly awaiting our second big trip through the southern half of Japan.

Apr - Japan

From our friend Nina's in Osaka and south — sleeping in parks, eating most meals at 7-11 and enjoying the quiet kindness of one of the world's most facsinating countries.

May - Japan

After being blessed with a month in Nina's beachfront apartment, we then venture alllllll the way down, past mainland Japan, over to the Goto Islands and even pop into see an old friend for a couple of weeks in Okinawa.

June - Japan + Oklahoma

We finish off Japan heading back to Tokyo, then take the bicycle onto a lot of planes, landing back in Oklahoma for the sweltering summer.

July - Oklahoma + Nashville

Family time and family trips — this one to where Mum grew up, in the foothills of the Tennessee Mountains (plus an obligatory trip to Dollywood).

Aug - Oklahoma, Ireland and UK

Aric and his (adopted) nephew Aidan leave OKC to start a massive 3.5 around-the-world trip, starting (as it should be) in Ireland, and then making our way to the UK.

Sept - Freiburg im Breisgau, Berlin, Budapest,

Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Italy (wedding), Naples, Greece, Bulgaria

Too many countries, cities, friends, drinks and food to list,

we blast around Europe taking in as much as possible.

Oct - Bulgaria, Istanbul, Egypt, South Africa

To 3 of Aric's favorite spots — his beloved Bulgaria, second home of Istanbul, the beauty (and darkness) of South Africa... and Egypt.

Nov - Kenya, India, Thailand

We continue our frantic pace around the world with a quick stop in Nairobi, an annoying (again) 10 days in India and finally relaxing in Thailand.

Dec - Hanoi, Japan, US

We finish the big trip with a quick stop in Hanoi, a week in Japan and finally back home, where Uncle Aric sleeps solid for a month.

Whew.
